Carmen Gao
Ms. Carmen Gao is the co-founder of Camping and Caravanning Association of America (CCAA), a Toronto-based reputable Non-profit Organization. She is also the founder of Meraki Art Supplies, a startup business imports and markets Chinese top brand art supplies in Canada. Ms. Gao obtained her B.A. at the Capital Normal University of Beijing in 1991. Before she immigrated from China to Canada in 1999, Ms. Gao worked for international companies such as Hewlett-Packard, SSA, IBM as Public Relation, Marketing and Sales leaders. From 2000 thru 2003, She worked for Ovislink, a networking solution provider where she continued her successful sales career in Toronto. In 2003, Ms. Gao moved back to China and has worked as sales executive for multiple international IT organizations like IBM, Symantec, VMware and Citrix. In 2015, she returned to Toronto with her family, since then, the majority of Ms. Gao’s practice was to advocate and educate the Chinese community to adapt to the Canadian culture through attending outdoor activities with respects to the nature, extensive outdoor knowledge and skills. As a pro-active volunteer, Ms. Gao is the Foundation Board Member of Hong Fook Mental Health Association and has initiated many seminars for the well-beings of Chinese community. Having received numerous awards and recognitions, Ms. Gao, is proven both a successful marketing professional and a respected contributor to the community.
